I think we should show our respect for these poor unfortunates, struggling to stand out from the vanilla crowd despite blazing temperatures and sunshine that puts the rest of us in shorts and vest tops. Join me in celebrating the majesty of the Goth, who, eschewing any practicality whatever, still has the commitment to don a full length leather trenchcoat, stupid New Rock boots, and half a Superdrug counter of makeup.

Those of you who know me know how easily I get distracted.
While doing some literature searches today, I stumbled onto this gem on David Politzer's personal page:
The Simple Harmonic Oscillator (mp3), apparently written and performed by Politzer back in 1985. Enjoy!

There's an dinner party society based out of Brooklyn called A Razor, A Shiny Knife (ARASK) that regularly hosts dinners and cooking demonstrations for a nominal fee. Their most recent event featured them making three eight-course meals, one for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. But the trick that they did was that they would cook everything from scratch and wouldn't start until 10pm the evening before. The plan was to stay up all night prepping and all day putting on the finishing touches.

MJ Died

His one good song to remember is "Ben" my husband's name.

Many will be missing MJ.

Cebu prisoners will give a dance tribute in memory of MJ's name.

We could surely watch them at You Tube.

Mannywood comes to ABQ

Since there are a few members of the Noise that live in New Mexico and are also baseball fans, I'm curious to see how many of you will catch Manny Ramirez when he comes to town this week.

J.J. Gutierrez, a 15-year-old baseball fan, didn't mince words when asked about Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez.

"He's a cheater," Gutierrez said. "But I still want to see him play."

Our fearless blog owner has a saying that goes something like this: "Every woman has a certain amount of crazy. The question is, how much are you willing to put up with?" Today's Dilbert reminded me of that.

So I've decided to head back to the Philippines for a while after my lease is up in Portland. I'm hoping to spend about three months abroad before settling on whether I go back to Southern California or the Pacific Northwest. I could go either way, but living abroad has always been a bug I wanted to scratch.

I'm hoping to use the Philippines as a "base of operations" of sorts to allow me to travel. I've already got some travel plans lined up to go Thailand in January, and of course I'd be down to go to Vietnam as well.

I dreamed of my father, maybe he just want me to be happy, am a daddy's girl and just to see him talking in my dream when i woke up it just simply made me smile and is putting good ending to not so daughter father talking at the end of his years on earth.

I was just been busy with my own family back then.

Well, what a nice dream last night.

Happy Father's day to all fathers!!

Comedy Central has struck a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television to air 26 new episodes of "Futurama," the animated comedy from "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening that was canceled by the Fox network in 2003 after a four-season run. The first new half-hour episode of the comedy about a 20th century pizza delivery boy who wakes up in the 30th century will air in mid-2010.
